The Scout is a multipurpose, single operator system that is capable of performing a number of tasks including, but not limited to, inspection of buildings, inspection of utility lines, weather data collection, rear area security, force protection, disaster relief, traffic monitoring, mapping, surveying, agricultural support, and ISR (intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance) collection. With flight times between 16 to 22 minutes and a small logistical footprint, the Scout is ideal for any organization or UAS training and education business.

Equipped with an autopilot, the Scout is capable of fully autonomous flight profiles, from takeoff to landing. Pre-programmed with 6 flight modes, the Scout comes complete as a tested turnkey solution to support your individual or organizational needs.

The common thread that binds all unmanned systems is the inevitability of either mechanical, electrical or operator errors/failures; that’s why Vertical Vision programs several layers of redundancies into each system.  Fail safes are programmed and tested in the event of a communication loss on the primary and/or secondary uplinks, a battery failure, and/or exceeding range parameters.

Each system includes the following:

  • Vertical Vision Scout Quadcopter with a Stabilized 2 Axis Gimbal
  • PixHawk Autopilot (installed and calibrated)
  • Full Motion Video (FMV) Standard GoPro Camera
  • Two Flight Battery Packs*
  • Multipurpose Battery Charger
  • 10” HD Monitor with Video Receiver (battery included)
  • Touch Screen Tablet
  • Pelican case

Cables and support equipment are included as well.

The Vertical Vision's Scout small unmanned aerial system (sUAS) is the result of over 2 years’ of testing and development of multi-rotor airframe design, payload stabilization, portability and reliable avionics integration. Intended for professional use, the Scout was not designed to be used as a hobbyist platform.
